This program creates a sustainable ecosystem where ambassadors gain leadership experience and financial support while building a vibrant community of skilled students who access transformative opportunities through the Globemate Zone.
1. Program Overview
The Globemate Ambassadors Program is a prestigious leadership initiative for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year tertiary students who demonstrate exceptional skills and leadership potential. Selected ambassadors will build and manage a high-performance community (Globemate Zone) on their campus, with a focus on technology, innovation, and professional development.
2. Ambassador Profile
Eligibility: 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year students in tertiary institutions
Preferred Candidates: Brilliant but needy students (though not exclusive)
Required Traits: Leadership, communication, organizational skills, technical proficiency in relevant domains
Tenure: 1 academic year (renewable based on performance)
3. Application & Selection Process
Phase 1: Application
Online application with:
Personal statement (demonstrating need and brilliance) - 500 words max
Portfolio of relevant work (voluntary, personal projects, community projects) in a CV or resume format. You can include links to the projects in your CV or resume.
2 references (academic or professional - this could be a referee from your internship or project site)
Video pitch (2 minutes maximum). Share a link/url to the video. Ensure that you have allowed "anyone can view" so we can play your video.
Application fee: GHS 200 (application fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee that you will be accepted as an ambassador.)
Phase 2: Assessment
Technical skills evaluation (domain-specific test)
Soft skills assessment (group discussion, case study)
Interview with selection panel
Phase 3: Training & Onboarding
2-week intensive training on:
Community management
Program benefits explanation
Recruitment strategies
Reporting and accountability
4. Ambassador Benefits
Monthly Stipend: GHS 3000 (upon meeting quota).
